Forget kombucha bars and beanbags, the real unsung hero of office culture might just be…
the drinks trolley. Not a revelation, but here me out.
Once the domain of start-ups and stock market bros, it’s now making a comeback for one simple reason: connection.
I'd never heard of the drinks trolley, and it wasn't until I joined Global Brands last year when I went to an after-work drinks. The glorious Thirsty Thursday. Why Thursday? because 9 out of 10 people choose to work from home on a Friday. No matter the time of year, working in fast moving consumer goods is thirsty work.
I enjoy socialising, but like most of my peer group, I don’t have the time to in the week, but thirsty Thursdays is perfect. Socialising with people that I might not have had the opportunity to chat to in the office has strengthened my relationships at work and made me feel part of something. As cheesy as it sounds, its helped make friends.
The drinks trolley is far more than socialising after work; it's about connection in a meaningful way. But not just connection with each other, connection with the business. We all like a little work perk and buying someone a drink is a great way of making people feel seen and valued.

It's an underused tool for businesses to encourage people to come into the office, something that certain industries are struggling to do.
Building a positive culture is a tough gig, but something as simple as providing after work drinks can help teams understand how to communicate, and forge meaningful relationships. Problem solve over a passionfruit martini. Ideate over IPA. Feedback with a Franklin & Sons soft Drink. You get the gist.
And rather blowing off the dust off a can of Pepsi Max, delicious adult soft drinks are becoming more popular, and they not only taste good but create a space that is inclusive of everyone.
What if you are fully remote? 80% of remote workers say they feel less connected to their team than in-office colleagues. Could a virtual drink catch-up be the solution?
Is it possible to have a virtual trolly where work provides the bevs? I mean it's 2025, so yes. Sending drinks out to a remote team turns a team’s catch up into a real moment of connectivity which is desperately needed in so many hybrid roles where is easy to feel isolated.
Here’s the bit where I save you some Googling.
Where can you get delicious and tasty drinks that suit everyone? And deliver? That’s where Good Time In is at your service.
We are an awesome (in my humble and invested opinion) drinks website that have everything a drinks trolly could possibly need. Refreshing Franklin & Sons soft drinks cans, ready to drink gourmet canned cocktails, cans of Hooch, flavour packed Reef and more.
Culture doesn’t build itself — but sometimes it only takes a couple of cans and a good excuse to stay a little longer. If your drinks trolley (virtual or otherwise) needs stocking, Good Time In has you covered — cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, the lot. Because the best ideas rarely happen in a spreadsheet.
